PROGRAMME DESCRIPTION
The duties of a Legal Secretary are varied. Depending on which department you are employed in, you could find yourself producing legal documents such as wills and court papers, dealing with enquiries from clients, operating a diary management system, keeping financial records, attending court or police cells withlegal practitioners, delivering documents and undertaking a range of administrative duties.
Legal Secretaries are generally expected to be able to demonstrate excellent secretarial skills, computer literacy and attention to detail. Knowledge of law and legal procedures, the ability to multi-task and a polite a helpful manner can be important.
The Certificate: Legal Secretary Level 4 qualification will provide students with entry-level knowledge of the day-to-day tasks that are involved in running a legal service or a law firm.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Namibia Senior Secondary Certificate Ordinary/Higher (NSSC O/H) with 20 points in 6 subjects or the equivalent thereof
An accredited NQF Level 3 qualification obtained at International Training College -Lingua or the equivalent thereof

Students who have completed the Certificate: Legal Secretary Level 4, may proceed with the Diploma: Legal Secretary Level 5 or enrol for the Bachelor in Arts: Law or Bachelor of Commerce: Law. Students will receive credits for modules already completed.
