Lingua proudly congratulates its IT Team for securing second place at the Namibia National Cybersecurity Competition (NNCSC) 2026, held from 2–3 October 2026.

Hosted by the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST), the annual competition brought together teams from universities and higher education institutions across Namibia to demonstrate their cybersecurity knowledge, technical expertise, and problem-solving abilities.

Competing as Lingua Team A, the students demonstrated exceptional technical competence and resilience against strong national competitors. NUST Team A secured first place, followed by Lingua Team A in second place and NUST Team B in third position.

During the competition, participating teams were challenged to defend simulated enterprise IT infrastructures against cyberattacks launched by experienced industry professionals. The competition incorporated system defence, Capture the Flag (CTF) challenges, and social engineering exercises, testing participants' abilities to identify vulnerabilities, mitigate security threats, protect critical systems, and maintain the availability and reliability of essential services under challenging conditions.

Team Lingua demonstrated exceptional teamwork, technical competence, resilience, and strategic thinking throughout the competition, ultimately securing an impressive second-place finish.

This achievement reflects the institution's commitment to developing industry-ready IT professionals equipped with practical cybersecurity skills. It also highlights the importance of hands-on learning, innovation, and participation in national technology competitions in preparing students to address emerging cybersecurity challenges and contribute to Namibia's digital transformation.

International Training College Lingua extends its congratulations to the participating students and their mentors for this outstanding achievement.
